Why Give?

Your support allows us to continue providing meaningful worship experiences, educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and maintain the physical sanctity of our church.

Giving is an act of worship
Worship is not just about singing songs or praying; it is about honouring God with every part of our lives—including our resources. When we give, we are acknowledging that everything we have comes from Him. It’s a way of saying, “God, I trust You more than my material possessions.” Just as we lift our voices in praise, our giving is a form of reverence, demonstrating our love and devotion to Him. Scripture says, “Honour the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce” (Proverbs 3:9, ESV).
God calls His people to be generous and to give freely, not out of reluctance, but as an act of obedience. In 1 Samuel 15:22, the prophet Samuel tells King Saul that obedience to God’s commands is more important than ritual sacrifices. This means that God desires a willing and obedient heart more than religious gestures. When we give as He instructs, we align our hearts with His will. It’s a demonstration that we put our trust in Him rather than in our own ability to provide.
Every blessing we have—our finances, time, talents, and even life itself—is a gift from God. Giving is a way to express our gratitude for His provision and unwavering faithfulness. In 2 Corinthians 9:11 (NIV), Paul writes, “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” When we give cheerfully, we acknowledge that God has always been faithful to provide for our needs, and our gratitude overflows into generosity.
Our giving goes beyond ourselves—it fuels the work of the Church and helps spread the Gospel to those in need. Whether it’s supporting missionaries, helping the less fortunate, funding ministry programs, or providing for the needs of the local church, every gift plays a role in advancing God’s Kingdom. Matthew 28:19-20 commands us to go and make disciples of all nations, and one way we do that is by giving toward the mission of God’s work. Our generosity becomes a tangible way to demonstrate Christ’s love, bringing hope and transformation to people both near and far.

At EWC we never ask our visitors to give financially in our church services. However, if you do want to support our ministry, you are welcome and we would be thankful

Tithe

We believe that we are stewards of all that God has given us.We believe in giving including Tithes and Offerings. A Tithe is a tenth of one’s income, but the New Testament teaches us give generously according to God’s measure of blessings upon your life.

Why Tithe?

Stewardship and Generosity is our lifestyle in EWC

Giving back to God
Tithing reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His.
Tithing is our opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives. James 1:17 says that “every good and perfect gift is from above…”. So we have an opportunity to tangibly show God that He is the “owner” of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives us.
We give out of a revelation of who God is.
